Years R, 1 & 2

Winter Uniform

After October Half Term until Easter

  • Mark Cross logo sweatshirt / cardigan
  • Grey trousers / skirt / skort / pinafore dress
  • Mark Cross logo blue polo shirt
  • White/grey socks or grey tights for girls, grey socks for boys
  • Black shoes – Velcro/buckles no slip-ons/laces

We would also ask that a pair of wellies be left in school and weather appropriate waterproofs / coat are worn.

Summer Uniform

After Easter until October Half Term

As winter uniform + option to wear:

  • Grey shorts
  • Blue Gingham dress

Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

PE

Mark Cross logo white PE T-Shirt (t-shirts with logo are optional).

Plain navy shorts, PE skort or tracksuit bottoms – no logos, stripes or patterns on shorts or tracksuit bottoms.

Black plimsolls or trainers (black trainers if possible). 

Bags & Accessories

Bags, caps & waterproofs are available via Simmonds, or children can bring their own.

Swimming

KS2 only:

  • Swimming cap (Mark Cross caps available to purchase from the school office if necessary)
  • One piece costume or swimming trunks (Bermuda style shorts are not suitable)
  • Pair of goggles
  • Towel
  • Waterproof bag

Long hair should be tied back. Hairbands, alice bands and hairclips should be maroon, grey or black. Gingham or blue hair bands/clips that match summer dresses are also permitted. Fringes should not cover the eyes. Gel (or other hair products) are allowed to help keep hair in place.

Jewellery (other than a small pair of stud earrings) and nail varnish is not allowed. Earrings should be removed (where possible) for PE lessons. Earrings that cannot be removed will be taped.

We encourage the children to take pride in their appearance and to look smart. Please help us by ensuring that your child is sent to school with the correct and appropriate uniform.
